Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Talk Later account and the data associated with it. Talk Later is provided by Wassim Boubaker, Strassburger Str. 39b, 13581 Berlin, Germany.

Delete from inside the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:

Open Talk Later and sign in.
Go to Settings → Privacy.
Tap Delete Account and confirm when prompted.

Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.

Can’t access the app? If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”. Include the email address on your Talk Later account so we can verify and locate it. We action verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove the following from active app systems:

Your account profile and authentication identity.
Private notes and tension cards.
Calendar events and solo calendar events you created.
Date idea activity and content progress state.
Notifications and reminders.
Profile pictures and note attachments.

If your account is linked to a partner, deletion unlinks the partner account and deactivates the couple record so your content is no longer exposed through the app. Mutual date-idea match records for the couple are also removed because they can identify deleted-user couple state.

What is retained, and for how long

In-app deletion removes the covered account data from active app systems as soon as the request runs. We aim to delete or anonymize associated account data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or necessary for security, billing, or dispute records. Provider backups and logs may take up to 30 days to age out.

Subscriptions

Subscription and purchase records held by Apple or Google Play are managed by those platforms. Deleting your Talk Later account does not cancel an active subscription — manage or cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play.
